What's On in Durban

Don’t miss Party with Poppy on Friday 22 April.  A one night only concert at Go Wild Wavehouse at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping. The DJ line up includes Poppy Ntshongwana, Pascal & Pearce, Ryan the DJ and DJ Fresh. The concert starts at 7pm and ends at midnight with the doors opening at 5:30pm. Tickets are R100 and can be purchased online at Computicket.

Mystic India, a Bollywood extravaganza, is also a one night only event at the Durban ICC on Saturday 23 April. The show starts at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are R185 – R485 and can be bought through Computicket.

The Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association will be turning 10 this year and to celebrate they are hosting a Fun Dog Walk on Sunday 24 April at Summerveld. Entrance fee is R20 per person and R10 per dog (dogs must be on a leash at all times). There will be fun events, prizes, refreshments and an obedience and security dog display. The event will start at 10am and will end at 2pm. All funds raised will be used for KHBA projects.

Also on Sunday 24 April is the Wonder Market at Chris Saunders Park near Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga. Find your food, craft and treasure from 9am to 2pm.

Need help with parenting? At PARENTALK ‘live’ best-selling author Rob Parsons and Katharine Hill will present in-sights and top tips gathered from a combined experience of working alongside thousands of parents for over thirty years. This evening will help moms and dads to get ahead of the game! The Durban event is on Monday 25 April 7pm at St. Agnes Church 53 Abelia Road in Kloof. Tickets are R40 and can be bought through Computicket.

The Shongweni Farmers & Craft Market happens every Saturday from 6:30am to 11:30am. On the 27 April they are having a special FOOD MUSIC FREEDOM event from 10am to 6pm. Early bird tickets are R70 for adults and R30 for kids under 12. On the day tickets are R100 for adults and R30 for kids under 12. Early bird tickets can be bought at the Saturday market or from Computicket.

Have an under 18 teen at home? The next Grom Event is on Friday 29 April inside a hangar at Virginia Airport in Durban North. Tickets are R100 and are available from Computicket or from Grom Events ticket agents at schools. The doors open at 6pm and the party is 6 hours long.

The next I Heart Market is on Saturday 7 May on the lawns outside the Moses Mabhida Stadium. From 9am to 2pm you can shop and eat local. Support our amazing creatives!
